A Diverse Career Path 

Julie’s professional journey began after earning her associate’s degree in science with a major in Biology from Kent State University. Her career took an unexpected turn as she ventured into banking from 1998 to 2021, where she honed her skills in handling regulatory complaints and administrative tasks for the regional commercial finance division. 

During this time, Julie also gained valuable experience in retail, serving as an assistant store manager, interim store manager, and hiring manager for a high-volume retailer. This diverse background equipped her with essential problem-solving and leadership skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changes and identify process improvements. 

Life at Broadleaf 

As a Client Operations Specialist at Broadleaf, Julie’s day-to-day responsibilities are diverse and challenging. She manages timesheets and expenses, processes work order modifications, handles billing corrections, and assists with team projects. Her role also involves triaging support cases, responding to inquiries from client managers, suppliers, and contractors, creating reports, and identifying opportunities for corrective action.

Outside of work, Julie’s life is filled with passion and purpose. As a devoted animal lover, she and her husband care for four dogs and four cats. They also volunteer with two animal rescues, helping to foster and place dogs in forever homes. 

Julie’s personal interests are diverse, ranging from being an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan to playing fantasy sports and advocating for human and animal rights. She enjoys cooking, watching Hallmark movies, and knitting and crocheting. 

Balancing Work and Personal Life 

The hybrid work schedule offered by Broadleaf has been instrumental in helping Julie maintain a healthy work-life balance. It allows her to spend more time with her beloved pets while still excelling in her professional role. 

Dreams and Aspirations 

If given the opportunity, Julie’s dream is to travel to Calabria, Italy, where her grandmother was from, and take cooking classes in the region. This aspiration reflects her love for family, culture, and culinary arts.
