WILLIAMSVILLE, NY (January 3, 2012) – Lynne Marie Finn, CEO/President of Superior Staff Resources, an international workforce and business solutions provider, was named a Galaxy Award recipient by the New York Women’s Agenda (NYWA) at the STAR Breakfast held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Manhattan, NY. Galaxy Award recipients are nominated by NYWA member organizations as individuals who exemplify leadership and have made a commitment to improving the lives of women in New York City.
Ms. Finn was nominated for the award by the Women’s President Educational Organization (WPEO), where she serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. The WPEO is the regional partner organization to the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), an organization that provides women-owned and operated companies with national WBE certification.
“It was a wonderful honor to be recognized by the New York Women’s Agenda with the Galaxy Award, in the company of so many accomplished women,” stated Ms. Finn.
This year’s event boasted a strong roster of award honorees, including legendary tennis star and feminist Billie Jean King, who was recognized with the Elinor Guggenheimer Lifetime Achievement Award.
New York Women’s Agenda (NYWA), founded in 1992, is a coalition of 100 women’s professional and advocacy organizations whose collective voices amplify its core mission to support the diversity and interests of New York women through collaboration, advocacy and education.
